12Bet is one of a number of iGaming companies that originate in Asia, and are now increasing their presence outside of their home region. Established in 2007, the Asian arm of 12Bet is headquartered in Cagayan, Philippines and has a strong customer base in countries such as Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand.

In recent years 12Bet has also expanded primarily into the UK market. If you’re a sports fan, you might have noticed 12Bet’s high profile sponsorship deals with football clubs such as West Brom and Leicester City, plus other sports like taekwondo and table tennis.

The UK operations of 12Bet are under TGP Europe Limited, which holds gambling licenses from the Isle of Man and the UK Gambling Commission. 12Bet is probably better known for its sportsbook, but for this review we’re focusing on 12Bet Casino.

Game selection

The 12Bet Casino website uses a stylish, minimal red and black design, with two main tabs clearly visible at the top for ‘Sports’ and ‘Casino’. From here you can access the casino lobby, where the first thing you’ll notice is a long list of slots with attractive square icons for each game. Most of the games are powered by veteran game developer Microgaming, plus a few from other providers such as Red Tiger.

The interesting aspect of 12Bet Casino is that it displays mostly newer games at the top of its lobby, which means even experienced slots players can quickly find something different to try. These include Adelia the Fortune Wielder, King Tusk and Deco Diamonds. Fans of classic games can enjoy the progressive jackpot Mega Moolah. Apart from slots, you’ll also find a selection of table games, including several types of video poker, roulette and baccarat.

12Bet Casino mobile

12Bet supports gaming via mobile devices including iPhone, iPad and Android. To access 12Bet Casino on mobile, simply visit their website on your device. You’ll instantly be presented with a stripped-down view that is designed to fit smaller screens. From here, it’s straightforward to navigate around the site. The actual slots and other games also work well on mobile, and deliver the same immersive experience that you’ll get on desktop.

Deposit and cashout

You can deposit and withdraw money at 12Bet Casino via the following methods: credit/debit card (Visa and Mastercard), plus e-wallets Neteller and Skrill. Credit or debit card is the fastest deposit method. The minimum deposit for Neteller and Skrill is £/$/€20, and the maximum is £/$/€5,000. For credit cards, the minimum deposit is £/$/€10, while the maximum is the same as e-wallets.

Withdrawals must be made to the same method used to deposit. For credit cards, one thing to note is that if you deposit with a credit card from outside the UK, 12Bet may not be able to send money back to the same card. In this case, 12Bet customer service will make alternative arrangements with you.

Lastly, you’ll need to provide copies of documents as part of anti money laundering procedures. These include photographic ID, credit card copies, and proof of address.

Customer support

12Bet provides customer support via a live chat feature on its site, and an email address. The one negative about their support options is the glaring omission of a phone number. Sometimes, you really need to speak to a representative directly for the quickest solution to your issue. Unfortunately, you’re stuck with text-based methods of communication, which in our opinion are inferior.

Another drawback of 12Bet Casino is its long list of restricted countries. We’ve replicated the entire list below from their website. As you can see, if you’re not in the UK or a small number of other countries, you can’t enjoy 12Bet’s offering. Restricted countries in full:

Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, Armenia, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burundi, Cayman Islands, Central Africa Republic, Chad, China, Congo, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, DPR of Korea (North), Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Eritrea, Ethiopia, France, Georgia, Gibraltar, Greece, Guernsey, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Ivory Coast, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lao, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Lithuania, Macao, Macedonia, Mali, Montenegro, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Palestinian Territory, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Sao Tome & Principe, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Somalia, Spain, Sudan, South Sudan, Swaziland, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, The Netherlands, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Uruguay, USA and all US territories (American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, United States Virgin Islands), Vanuatu, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Conclusion

12Bet Casino tries, but ultimately falls short of being a genuine competitor to the big names in online casino gaming. It has a limited number of banking methods, and its customer support is also lacking in communication options. The welcome bonus at 12Bet is also less generous than its competitors, at the time of writing only £35. For a company that’s trying to increase its footprint outside of its home market, you’d expect 12Bet to offer a bit more to its customers.

On the plus side, 12Bet Casino does offer a nice selection of newer Microgaming slots and provides an attractive, easy-to-navigate interface. But in today’s competitive world of iGaming, this isn’t enough to elevate 12Bet into the big league.
